Adaptive Re-use Projects:
Manage rehabilitation of vacant or underutilized community buildings including re-use planning, design, and financing.
The vacant Clendenin Middle School represents the heart of Clendenin's revitalization plans. TEA developed a reuse plan for affordable housing, a health care clinic, and a child care center. Using a combination of USDA, HUD and historic tax credits, this project is scheduled for construction in early 2010.
New Construction:
Manage development of new buildings to promote economic and community development.
The Braxton Technology Center is the centerpiece of economic diversification for TEA’s client the Braxton County Development Authority. With over $3.5 million in financing and 50 new technology jobs confirmed, this facility is well ahead of its lease up schedule.
